Oregon Security Officer Training

GuardForce Academy takes pride in providing top notch security training that meets the Oregon DPSST requirements to be certified as a Security Officer in Oregon. Additionally, GuardForce Academy is proud to offer beginner and advanced level handgun/rifle classes.

Unarmed Security Officer Courses

offering in person and Remote Training

Offering an in person or remote 14 HR Unarmed Basic Security Officer Training as well as the biennial 4 HR refresher course. This course qualifies toward certification by Oregon’s DPSST for initial applicants and those wishing to obtain recertification as Unarmed Security Officers. These courses are either conducted in person at our Beaverton Location or Remotely via Google Meets. Each student must be 18+ years of age to attend this class.

Armed Security Officer Courses

required to be in Person

Offering an in person 24 HR Armed Security upgrade course that satisfies the DPSST requirements for certification as an armed Security Officer. These courses will be a blend of classroom and range time. Each student must be 21+ years of age in order to attend this class. Each individual will need to have a weapon (no P320’s), holster (no paddle holsters), dual magazine pouch, 3 magazines, minimum of 150 rounds of ammunition and body armor is recommended but not required. Gear is available for rental ($100 and includes all needed ammunition). RANGE FEES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF THE CLASS.
